Committed to retaining its local presence and historic links with Weymouth, fashion retailer New Look is working towards finalising planning permission for the regeneration of its Mercery Road site.

On the 27 April 2011 Weymouth and Portland Borough Council made the decision to support New Look’s outline planning application for its Weymouth Gateway regeneration plans, marking a major milestone for the project.

The plans, which will create more than 1,000 jobs, include brand new offices for New Look staff, a Sainsbury’s supermarket, a hotel, family restaurant, and additional office and employment space.
